Remembering Love

In times of violent tragedy, it is ever so important for us to remember that there is more love and light in this world than hatred and darkness.

My heart goes out to the victims and families in Boston. They are in my thoughts and prayers; and I know they are in yours too.  As the truth unfolds around this horrible event, let us remember to not let our hearts wax cold or to allow fear and hatred to take root in our minds. Let us not allow those who have already taken so much, from so many, to take anything more from us.

We can honor those who deserve our compassion and sympathy while still honoring the beauty of Life and remembering what’s good, right, and beautiful in this world of ours. We can remember that love heals, truth unites, and light pierces the darkness. In doing so, we deprive those responsible for this nefarious deed of what they hoped most to accomplish.

Be Love

  4. Sloan,
As always, you shine love where fear and anger live. In so many ways Boston is a tragedy, but in the midst of pain, there were people sharing love and compassion, giving from their hearts. This is what I choose to remember–the love in the middle of the pain.

    • Sherry, thank you for your kind and insightful comments. I have seen many of the stories you’re talking about, and I was very touched by the demonstrations of exactly what I mentioned in the post. There are still plenty of good, kind, and loving people in this world of ours. Love & Light to you, my inspiring and fabulous friend! S
