Remember You Are Mighty

Bengal Tiger by Tiene Alles-001

If there’s one thing I know for certain about Life and living, it is that the ability to persevere is one of the greatest attributes we can possess. When times are tough and we’re not certain whether we’ll be strong enough to make it through, we must remember that, at our core, we are mighty.

Each and every one of us has a story to tell. We’ve all faced struggles; we’ve all endured losses; we’ve all had our hearts broken (in one way or another). We all suffer, from time to time. And, yet, we always find some way to keeping going. Circumstances pass away, we survive, and better tomorrows do arrive.

Sometimes, we all need reminders of what we already know. Today, I’d like to remind you of a few things about YOU. I do not need to personally know you to tell you a few things about yourself. I know them because I know, all to well, what it means to be human. While we are each unique and special, in our own way, there is much about us that is the same. These are the things I’d like you to remember.

You are stronger than you might realize.

You are wiser than you could have ever imagined.

You are more beautiful than you may remember.

You are mightier than your circumstances, your fears, and your past.

You are everything you need to be.

And, to help you remember, I’m passing along a few words of inspiration that I find empowering. I hope you enjoy them too.

Live Free! Be Happy! Remember you are a Mighty Dragon Tamer.

Your Fire

Blood FlowersDo not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the approximate, the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all.  Do not let the hero in your soul perish, in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach. Check your road and the nature of your battle.

The world you desired can be won. It exists, it is real, it is possible, it is yours.

– Ayn Rand

Don’t Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will;
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill;
When the funds are low, and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but have to sigh;
When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest if you must, but do not quit.

Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
And you can never tell how close you are
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit-
It’s when things go wrong that you must not quit.

  1. Thank you for sharing these wonderful words! I have learned that strength, wisdom, beauty, and all of the things you mention are already a part of us. It’s simply a matter of allowing them to manifest : )

  2. Wonderful reminders. The poem “Don’t Quit” strikes a chord. I found in a Sunday School print out when I was in 5th grade, cut it out, and tucked it inside my Bible for safe keeping. IDK how I could know at that age how much I would need that on down the road. (now 40 plus yrs later!) Thanks for the sweet reminder. ♥ paula
