Introducing The Book

After more than two years of writing, rewriting, editing, editing, and more editing, the book has now been released!

I’m providing the official description below. However, many of you have been with me for almost a year and a half. So, there’s a bit more that I want to say to you.

The experience of writing this book has been one of the most incredible experiences of my life. As I have said before, I was compelled to begin it by my need to be heard and to finish it by my desire to help others.

Over the last several years, I have met many people who were in transition. And I know there are many more out there who want to heal, to grow, and to learn how to create their own happiness. More than anything, this is a book about hope. It tells the story of how my transition began, and it shares what I believe to be the keys to success for personal and spiritual transformation. Every single one of us deserves peace of mind and happiness. And every single one of us can have both.

No matter what we have been through . . . no matter how dark the night, we can take control of our minds, change our lives, and emerge into the glorious dawn of peace and happiness. This is the message I sought to convey; and I’ve shared what experience has taught me about healing, happiness, and self-realization the same way I share everything – openly, honestly, and from my heart.

I invite you to read the book. If you enjoy it, please let others know about it. Regardless of how well the book does, there is no doubt in my mind that there are many people who will find it helpful. And, perhaps most importantly, there are many people out there who need to know they are not alone. Maybe, you are one of these people. If not, I can guarantee you there is someone in your life who is.

The Book

Taming_The_Invisible.cvrThere is an ever-increasing number of people who find themselves in transition. They are moving from one level of consciousness to another, and the processes involved in their personal and spiritual transformation can be simultaneously frightening and awe-inspiring. They need guidance and inspiration from others who have traveled the path of healing, happiness, and self-realization.

In this heart-felt and inspirational book, author Sloan Rawlins shares the insights and hard-earned wisdom she obtained during her own personal journey. Having survived severe child abuse, a near death experience, and incapacitating illness, Sloan reconnected with her spirit and learned to create authentic happiness, peace, and joy in her own life. She blends elements of spiritual philosophy, depth psychology, and personal experience into an easy to read guide for personal and spiritual transformation. It is a must read for those who have the desire and determination to heal their wounds, to change their thoughts, and to create better tomorrows.

  7. Yay! Congratulations. I self-published a book in the 90’s about infertility, because I really felt it was needed to help women going through it. It didn’t matter if it sold a lot, it mattered if it got in the right hands to help who needed it. Thank you for doing this, Miss Sloan. I can’t wait to read it. I know you have oodles of wisdom and inspiration to share. Happy Hugs.
