Something Worth Passing On

miOKplqA small group of thoughtful people could change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.

– Margaret Mead

I recently watched Tom Shadyac’s film, “I Am.” Those of you who have already seen it won’t be surprised to hear that I loved it.

This afternoon, I found myself thinking I should do something to pass on what I believe to be a beautiful and powerful message. There are millions of people in transition today. The change that is occurring – what some have called “the shift” – can no longer be ignored.

Only time will tell how it all unfolds.

One thing I know for certain, however, is that we each have a part to play in what is happening in our world today.

I am rooting for love, compassion, peace, and cooperation. I believe most people are good people. I believe humanity is a marvelous thing. And I believe the world can be a better place, if we will each do our small part.

Call me a dreamer, if you must . . . but you’d be mistaken. I’m much more of a practical idealist.

If you watch the film and enjoy it, I hope you’ll pass it on.

  2. I know that most of his movies were silly, but Bruce Almighty actually had a message. It is one of my favorite movies, because it combines my favorite things … laughter and spirituality. I have the DVD of Bruce Almighty and Tom Shadyac does a commentary of the movie on the DVD. He talks a lot about serendipity for that film. Having said that, I thank you for sharing about this movie. I hadn’t heard of it. Is it in movie theaters now?
